The fringes of cirrostratus possibly due to small clusters of thunderstorms on the Western coasts of Libya spreading over the area. The fact that the anvil is not visible on the visible Sat Image indicate that the cloud was very thin. Unfortunately, an infrared satellite image is unavailable.
