Orangy sunset
/ 0 Comments / in Misc, SunsetVery beautiful red sunset from the southern part of malta looking towards the western side. This sunset was due to desert sand haze creating a filter from which the setting sun had to pass. This day was dominated by warm southerly wind bringing desert dust due to a low pressure system covering north west africa and the Sahara desert. The second thumbnail is a rough sea photo taken at the same time in Xrobb l-Għaġin on the SSE side of Malta because of a SSE wind. Althaugh it was only moderate, the relatively long fetch and because the coast faces the wind directly, the sea over the area was quite rough considering the wind`s lack of strength.
