Solar halo

Beautiful halo around the sun due to high-level cirrus clouds causing diffraction of the sun`s rays. The cirrus clouds themselves developed ahead of a strong low pressure system which did not bring bad weather to the Maltese Islands but Sirocco gales the following day. The first thumbnail shows a beautiful view of the cirrus clouds that caused the halo to develop, while the second thumbnail shows the surface pressure on the day and the third thumbnail is a visible satellite image of the cirrus clouds hovering over the Malta.
