Valletta rough sea

A very rough sea on the Eastern side of Malta and Cirkewwa due to a mature low pressure system causing swirling anti-clockwise winds reaching at least Force 8 (around 66kmh) on the southern side of this swirl over the Mediterranean Sea althaugh the wind did not affect Malta itself. But this led to the formation of huge waves as per this photo courtesy of Christian Pace. The day was quite sunny althaugh stratocumulus clouds with some rain showers entered Malta during the afternoon hours as the occluded front of this system passed through the area and changing the wind to the NW.
