Thick desert sand haze

Surreal atmosphere over the Maltese Islands due to desert sand haze. The cause was a huge undulation of the jet stream at 500mb over Western Europe aiding the formation of a thermal low pressure system over Algeria which had then moved eastnortheastwards over Malta and hence picking up lots of dust in its way. Few drops of rain were registered mostly thanks to a very dry airmass just beneath the cloud cover as per weather sounding. Even better photos of this weather event could be sent to the viewer upon request.
