Solar halo

A clear halo around the sun due to very thin cirrostratus clouds. These thin clouds (clearly made from ice crystals) causes the sun`s rays to refract causing this beautiful circular rainbow (if you want to call it that way). Usually, these are the first signs of an approaching warm front hence associated with a weather deterioration within 24 hours. However, no warm front was indicated on the weather sounding or indeed weather surface pressure charts.
