Agitated sea in the Malta-Gozo channel due to a SW Force 7 wind during the passage of a low pressure system over the Mediterranean. This is a typical Wintry situation for the area. The first thumbnail shows the formation of Ns pannus cloud bringing long periods of moderate rainfall ahead of the passage of the cold front itself. Thunderstorms were observed after the cold front had passed due to contrast with the warm sea surface temperature.
