A very beautiful sky overlooking part of the grand harbour due to altocumulus cloud formation making for very beautiful contrasts. This cloud was caused by weak instability in the mid-level part of the atmosphere due to the fringes of an upper level low. The first thumbnail photo taken at around 1720hrs shows a rising full moon over the Valletta breakwater. Nautical twilight coupled with the bright moonlight made the photo seem like it was taken earlier in the day.
