Rather strange formation of high-level clouds. When queried with accuweather, they replied that the clouds were `probably precipitating cirrocumulus clouds, though it is difficult to tell without knowing how high they are`. The trigger for such clouds seemed to have been a high-altitude warm front coupled with a relatively strong jet stream. The weather sounding indicated abundant moisture at an altitude of 8km which is well within the high-level cloud range and much lower levels of moisture from altitudes of between 6.5km till 1km. Such atmospheric profile is very good for such cloud formations once they do form.
