Formation of Cc due to turbulence in the upper levels. These clouds were fast-moving due to a strong jet stream over the Maltese Islands just below the cut-off low over the West Med. From the satellite animation, these clouds were not associated with a developing cyclone over the Balearics but formed over a fast-moving Jet Stream.
