High fibrous cirrus clouds seemingly with virga (precipitating cirrus). It is said that If such clouds are spreading across the sky in irregular patterns without much moving or if slowly drifting towards the west, the dry and fine weather will persist for a while. However, if they are approaching from west or southwest (as was the case here), then they are an early indicator for an approaching jet stream and hence a warm front. Therefore, the weather would deteriorate within 18 to 36 hours.
