Ac perlucidus
/ 0 Comments / in Altocumulus, Medium LevelsThe whole sky covered by a mid-level cloud with irregular gaps. No obvious features were present apart from a relative humidity of 100% at an altitude of around 5km. Hence, these clouds could have been a mixture of water vapour and super-cooled water droplets. The weather pattern was dominated by the usual Westerlies as can be seen in both the sounding and the jet stream chart. These clouds went on to produce an exceptionally beautiful sunset which could be found on the sunset gallery.
