Ac undulatus

Beautiful formation of wavy altocumulus clouds (possibly Asperatus if recognized as new cloud type) due to very moist, unstable air at mid-levels. A deep large area of low pressure centred over Northern Italy generated widespread SSW winds. This explanation is illustrated by various weather charts.
