Ac perlucidus

Formation of mid-level clouds with irregular small gaps in the cloud cover. Both the sun`s and cloud rays can be seen beautifully shining together in the background as the timing was just before sunset. According to research made on the Internet, `a sheet of partially conjoined altocumulus perlucidus is sometimes found preceding a weakening warm front`. In fact, the surface weather chart on the day really seemed to indicate this as a frontal system heading towards Malta seemed to have been weakening. Another photo shows yet another set of altocumulus clouds which persisted throughout the day.
