Cu undulatus

Wavy-looking cumulus clouds though the sub-species `undulatus` does not normally apply to cumulus clouds. The appearance of these low-level clouds might have been due to some wind shear in the lowest levels of the atmosphere as indicated by the violet bar `SHEAR CAT`. The day was dominated by a low pressure system and cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds swirling around the low due to surface heating provided by the sea.
