Cu radiatus

Formation of cumulus radiatus clouds consisting of cumulus congestus due to a shallow low pressure system that was approaching the Maltese Islands. Such shallow low pressure systems normally bring heavy rainfall towards the Maltese Islands rather than large-scale feautures. This was accompanied by a cold upper-level airmass. The weather sounding in the first thumbnail showed ample instability for such cumulus cloud to develop despite being the cold season. The high-level clouds was also preceding that approaching wave of bad weather.
