/ 0 Comments / in Cumulus, Low LevelsCloud formation (veil) on the upper part of a cumulus cloud band. This forms due to the air just above the cloud swelling being forced to rise upwards. When enough moisture is present, this process leads to condensation as seen in this photo. The weather sounding herewith depicted lots of moisture at an altitude of around 1.3km.
