/ 0 Comments / in Cumulus, Low LevelsHeavy cumulus clouds lined up one after the other as a line of bad weather on the surface pressure chart passes over the Maltese Islands. A secondary weaker upper level trough can be found in the 500mb wind. Of course instability was present. These cumulus clouds followed the formation of altocumulus perlucidus earlier during the day. The first thumbnail seems to show a lenticularis cloud or leftover from a hood while the second thumbnail shows the formation of yet another cumulus cloud underneath an anvil from a previous cumulonimbus cloud.
