Weak resemblance of a shelf cloud due to a thunderstorm outflow within the cloud itself. In fact, the eastern side of Malta had reported thunderstorms which did not affect any landmass. This cloud had developed due to a small area of low pressure that developed over northern Libya and moved northeastwards towards the east of Malta.
